Vansittart Road
The school building in Vansittart Road, built in 1906 was for the St. Steven’s Girls School, they amalgamated with St. Steven’s Intermediate School in 1922 and became Clewer St. Stephen’s School. Later in 1930 the Royal Free Senior girls were also amalgamated into the school this carried out the recommendation of the 1926 “Hadlow” Report.
The school was renamed in 1944 to commemorate the patronage of the then H.R.H. Princess Margaret Rose.
