Trevelyan School

Wood Close

Trevelyan School was officially opened on 26 March 1930 as the New Windsor Council School by Sir Charles Trevelyan, the President of the Board of Education. It was renamed Trevelyan School in his honour in 1954.

Since 1979, it has been a co-educational comprehensive Middle School, catering for pupils between the ages of nine and thirteen.

In 1998, the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead assumed responsibility for the school from the former Royal County of Berkshire Council.

In 2002, the school moved from its home for the previous 72 years to a new site in Wood Close.
