The Free and Royal Free Schools in Windsor
1956 Minister of Education Directive to implement the 1944 Education Act
1. THE MINISTER OF EDUCATION, in pursuance of Section 2 of the Education Act, 1946, hereby DIRECTS that the Royal Free Church of England Primary School, in the Borough of New Windsor, in the County of Berks, shall be divided into two seperate Voluntary Schools, to be called the Royal Free Church of England Junior School and the Royal Free Church of England Infant School respectively.
2. THE MINISTER OF EDUCATION, in pursuance of subsection (2) of Section 15 of the Education Act, 1944, hereby further DIRECTS that the said Junior School shall be an aided school and that the said Infant School shall be a controlled school.
3. THE MINISTER OF EDUCATION, in pursuance of section 111 of the Education Act, 1944 hereby also ORDERS that the Instrument of Management No. 1878 made under subsection (2) of Section 17 of the Education Act, 1944, on 28 October 1954, shall have effect as the Instrument of Management for the Royal Free Church of England Junior School as constituted by this order.
